Our Organic Cafe Grade matcha is made from pure USDA & JAS certified organic tea leaves and, unlike most imitation 'matcha' sold in the US, is 100% tencha (shade grown)! This results in a smooth, mild flavor that beats most other brands "ceremonial grades".
Harvested in early summer, the leaves of our Cafe Grade are located toward the middle of the tea plant. They have slightly less sweetness and a stronger flavor when compared to our Ceremonial Grades. This makes Cafe Grade perfect for use as an everyday tea, latte, and/or smoothie. Best of all, it contain just as many nutrients and antioxidants as the ceremonial grade teas which can cost twice as much!
